Gonna go get myself a pack of rechargable batteries for my SB800.
4
Quick question, what's the difference between...
6
Sanyo NiMH rechargables at 2700 mAh vs ENELOOP?
8
For those of you who use ENELOOP, approximately how many flash fire
9
(assuming at full capacity) before your a 4 pack ENELOOP runs out?
11
Any input much appreciated.
12
Hi, I'm going to get some of these (or maybe another make with the same
13
technology) for my SB-400.
15
The difference is in the discharge time. If you run through a fully charged
16
set in one evening the 2700 should last longer than the Eneloop. But this
17
assumes that they were freshly charged.
19
Normal Nimh self discharge at around 10% week while the Eneloops are meant
20
to retain 85% of their charge after even 12months of sitting idol.
22
What this means is that if it has been any more than about 2 weeks since you
23
charged the normal nimh batts they will have already dropped about 20% of
24
their charge. And the eneloops should have more power. Any longer than this
25
and the gap will widen.
27
To me the fact that these things hold their charge means that it is far less
28
likely for my batteries to go flat, and I won't need to plan ahead and
29
recharge my batts if I think I may be useing the flash.
31
How may times has someone run a set of Nimhs flat only to find the spare set
32
has gone flat as well.... Yes I always carry some alkalines as well....
